I’ve always been drawn to creative things. Painting and drawing have been my hobby since I was little. I love decorating, organizing, and in general, making things look nice. In 2006 I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Media Arts & Design, and minors in both Art and Creative Writing.

My career started in the advertising department of a small Virginia newspaper. From there I found my way to North Carolina and discovered the publishing industry. I spent several years designing book covers, proofreading, and typesetting books for an academic press, but I wanted to learn more. I jumped into the world of web and joined an Inc. 500/5000 internet marketing company where I worked as Production Manager, updating websites and working alongside the design and development teams. And in 2012 I did the “unthinkable”. I left my promising career to stay at home. I did freelance work for a while, then “retired” from webwork. I help run the behind-the-scenes of my husband’s aquarium businesses since I like spreadsheets a lot more than he does.

Embroidery entered the scene in 2017, around the same time we were discerning Catholicism. I decided to keep my embroidery focused on faith-based topics. We officially entered the Catholic Church in 2019 and two weeks later I was commissioned to make my first three maniturgia! I opened Thread Roses Embroidery on the Feast of St. Joseph, March 19th, 2020 in the Year of St. Joseph. He is the co-Patron of my little business along with St. Therese of Lisieux. It is my hope to bring Glory to God and joy to others with my work.

I live in North Carolina with my husband and children. Early in 2024, my husband and I were able to fulfill a dream when we purchased nearly 10 acres of land on which to raise our family. We have named it The Little Way Farm, where we do small things with great love.

You can find me mostly on Instagram, and occasionally on Facebook. I tend to forget I have Pinterest, but technically I am there too. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you! Happy stitching!
